- Chad successfully demonstrated low-cost solar irrigation technology around an oil production site. However, this programme was not followed up.
- The government now intends to take the lead in making this technology accessible and affordable to women, men, and youth small farmers.
- For this reason, the Ministry is requesting assistance from technical experts specializing in small-scale irrigation technology.
