The Ministry of Agriculture, Environment, and Fisheries (MAAP) is the central body of the State apparatus that, in accordance with the principles, objectives, priorities, and tasks defined by the Government, plans, directs, controls, monitors, and evaluates the implementation, and ensures the execution of legislation and public policies in the areas of agriculture, livestock, agricultural hydraulics, agroforestry plantations, food security, maritime planning, the blue economy, fisheries, land administration and management, geomatics, forests and wildlife, the environment, climate change, and conservation areas.
