The Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, and Fisheries (MAEP) is the government institution of the Republic of Benin responsible for designing, coordinating, implementing, monitoring and evaluating national policy in the agriculture, livestock, fisheries, and rural sectors. Its mission is to create conditions conducive to the sustainable improvement of agricultural production, the performance of the livestock and fisheries sectors, and food security throughout the country.
