Uthabiti Africa is a not-for-profit organization established in 2019 that is building the Network for Women in Childcare in Kenya, which currently has over 7,000 members. The organization has led national childcare policy reforms and created the Collaborative Action for Childcare (CAC) platform to advance collective action and impact across Africa’s childcare ecosystem. Uthabiti Africa’s 2023–2030 Strategic Plan aims to deepen its work in Kenya and expand to other African countries, including Malawi, Ghana, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Ethiopia, Mozambique, and Zimbabwe. Its partners include all levels of government and organizations such as the Africa Early Childhood Network (AfECN), Early Childhood Development Action Network (ECDAN), ChildFund International, PATH, Aga Khan Foundation, Save the Children, and others.
